Why us
We work on Viking every day, stock the parts that commonly fail, and name the price before we start.
Rangetops are one of the units we open most. Our techs know the failure patterns before the burner box is open.
Spark modules, igniter electrodes, burner caps and heads, gas valves, griddle thermostats and simmer plates ride with the technician.
The technician diagnoses on site and gives you a firm price. You decide before any work begins.
Parts and labor, in writing. If the same fault comes back inside the window, we return at no charge.
Call before noon and we'll do our best to be there today, weekends included.
A 60 inch rangetop comes out and goes back without marking your countertop or the cabinet face.

Common faults
A rangetop is a burner box with no oven under it: sealed burners, and often a griddle or a grill in the same top. Almost every call comes down to ignition, gas flow or a thermostat.
The spark module keeps firing because the flame sensor never confirms ignition. Usually a fouled electrode, a burner cap sitting wet or crooked, or a clogged port underneath.
One switch or a wet electrode keeps the spark module energised, so every position fires together. The clicking stops only when the shorted circuit is dried out or replaced.
The orifice, the air shutter or the regulator is out of spec. After a propane conversion the wrong orifice set gives a lazy yellow flame and soot on the pan.
The low flame screw inside the valve is out of adjustment, or the burner port is partly blocked, so the flame drops out as soon as the knob passes the click.
The griddle thermostat sits under the plate and drifts with age. It reports a temperature the surface never reached, so the burner cycles at the wrong points.
The grill has its own igniter and flame sensor. Grease on the sensor, or a cracked ceramic on the electrode, makes the module cut the gas a few seconds after lighting.
A valve stem seal or a manifold joint has dried out. We shut the supply off, find the joint with solution and replace the seal or the valve.
The valve stem is stripped or the gas valve has seized after years of grease. Nothing reaches the burner even though the knob still moves.

Questions
Answered by our dispatch team.
Almost always. Nine times out of ten it is the electrode or the burner cap, not the valve. We clean or replace the part and test every burner before we leave.
Yes. Griddle thermostats, grill burners and their igniters are among the parts we replace most on rangetops.
Yes, every width from 30 to 60 inches, sealed burner and open burner models alike.
Most visits are finished in one trip, usually under two hours. If a part has to be ordered we set the return date before we leave.
Yes, original parts wherever they are available. If a part is discontinued we tell you what the alternative is before we fit it.
Burners, caps, heads and valves are replaced on their own. The top only comes off when the fault is in the manifold underneath.
Clear the counter around the rangetop and have the model number handy if you can find it. Everything else is on us.
